Women are often singularly bad

at expressing what it is
that they 'want from life' -
which, of course, is A Good Thing.

Men, on the other hand,
are singularly, purposively
and catastrophically good at it.

We must be on different planets. Most women I know know exactly what they want: marriage, mortgage, kids. Most of the men are blundering idiots who don't really want anything, but are dragged along in the women's wake.

The above comment is only half in accordance with my personal knowledge. Most of the men know very well they want at least one of these: women.

Perhaps we can create a synthesis then: (1) Most men want women, (2) while most women want the “good life” (marriage, mortgage, kids), so most men put up with those because (1).

And thus a "loser" is he who doesn't surrender to those.
Life is full of irony. Or maybe it's just its affirmers.
