Latin scrotum, probably transposed from scortum "a skin, hide" (see corium), perhaps by influence of scrautum "leather quiver for arrows." [Etymological dictionary online]
In French, Bourse means purse, the Paris Stock Exchange, and scrotum.
The scrotum contains the 'little nuts' (testiculae) which are Les bijoux de la Famille or 'Family Jewels'.
Correction: Testiculi diminutive of testes or 'nuts'.
