of the stupidity of crowds.
More non-Christians than Christians "celebrate" it.
It does more harm to body and soul than
sugar, flour, unnatural fats and alcohol.
Jesus would hate it
since he hated heredity, hierarchy and priests,
dynasticism, wealth and hereditary positions,
republics, democracies and governments,
powers and principalities;
was anti-natalist (and would have inveighed against
birthday celbrations),
shockingly anti-family,
and even if he didn't castrate himself
would advocate mass-vasectomy.

Crowds? Why not hypocrites? Your rant echoes Pope Francis I's declamation against it on Christmas Eve or was it yesterday? Also watch the anachronisms and mis-readings of a rather problematic koine Greek series of texts otherwise known as the New Testament Gospels. "Jesus would hate it" with its subjunctive diffidence is probably the truest statement here.
Or, in other words:

The world was gloomy before I won - there was no hope. Now the market is up nearly 10% and Christmas spending is over a trillion dollars!
