why could life not be a single, simple
perfect form
gently floating in the sea or atmosphere ?
on another planet in another galaxy somewhere ?
Why do I hate struggle ?
What is it about quietude and balance
that seems attractive ?
What's so wonderful about purpose and persistence,
endurance, courage - all terrible, destructive qualities ?
Why does glaringly-defective human
reason so rarely ask such questions ?

our nostalgia should turn."

Wonderful! I agree with every word. All those of so-called 'virtues' are intimately connected with violence and egotism.
A friend of mine years ago said he wished he was a spirit floating free through the universe, a remark that's haunted me all of my life.
This is because people like to say that their "qualities" were worthy of something, when most of cases it´s not. It´s the moral of the slave: you have to toil to be the best of the slaves, best than the slave behind you, because he will perish, and you will not, if you work harder... and all of this is disguised as virtue, as value, when it´s just pettiness, and absurdity.
Actually I was not really talking BOUT "OUR" privileged, cushioned etc. Western lives, but life itself, as in the millions and billions of life-forms, asmongst which human beings are just another but softer kind of dinosaur.
