Like a ship among icebergs
I often, quickly, feel out of place
in most human company
from which I usually have the urge
a little later to remove myself.
Always anomalous,
I'm out of place in life itself,
for which I am a kind of skinny dirge...
"The free, independent spirit who commits himself to no dogma
and will not decide in favour of any party
has no homestead on earth."
—Stefan Zweig

The feeling you are describing is shared by many.
However, your 'Like a ship among icebergs' fits really well.
But maybe I meant 'Like an iceberg at a regatta' !
It will be interesting if all of us who feel 'out of place' decided to get together.
Would we have that urge to remove ourselves from all those who experience the very same feeling ?
And who will start the removing process ?
Yes, I think we would remove ourselves. Groups split up all the time. We are a splitting-off species! I don't like groups at all. I am very much a one-to-one person. Rather like a dog...
Love to Dína!
We all, sometimes, leave each other out there under the skies, and we never understand why.
