A good place to find them in the US are Ron Paul and 'Campaign for Liberty' rallies; too often, i amongst them. They also abound anywhere people eschew the status quo.
i don't know whether to be daunted
or exhilarated when I discover them. Usually, they gather together
when the oligarchy attempts to discourage them.
i might prefer to be a hermit with a blunderbuss at hand and dogs at the ready.

OK.
But where are the wise hobos ? Replaced by mindless homos! One group comes in from the cold, and another group disappears. No-one dares take a lobster for a walk, now. And the last person to celebrate Whitmanesque 'loafing' was Steinbeck (Cannery Row and the rest - books which made enormous impression on me, and led me to dedicate my life to loafing...

I think they've gravitated to the R.R.A-Railroad Riders Association.
The rest may be free-lance, although many may now be entering the field. It's possible I might join them soon.
I'm still prone to flights of inherent busywork; something indetectible our betters had put into the toothpaste.
Say, I've gone and stolen your moon
flower arrangement. You should stop by to bid them farewell...so, what's your lobster's name?

But if the beast Normalcy were to die what would we parody?

Wofl said...

The Lobster's name can be nothing other than Gérard!

Etienne: If normality (the modern bourgeois dullness etc.) were to disappear, we would be free to parody ourselves. Or happily give up parody altogether.

I wasn't going to comment back but the Blogger verification word is "reefugme."

I'm not sure why I think that's a sign.

I always look forward to meeting new poets -- especially dead ones -- & so I must be false (thank G-D).
