Once one learns or comes
to apprehend, one finds oneself
alone in the world, surrounded by folly.
To apprehend is not to comprehend
(which is impossible) but it enables
us to steer the folly of our lives
with some alertness, awareness
and acceptance through
the gauzy power of solitude.
