But we have been on that edge since
the appalling Harry S. Truman
(echoed vacuously by British poodles)
invented The Cold War to enlarge
and enrich what Eisenhower called
the US 'Military-Industrial Complex'
that impoverishes the world's poor
and still rules and threatens us all.
