I have absolutely no interest
in such a thing,
except in hoping that the most unlikely
and most oppressed countries' teams
do well : Cap Verde, for example, or Paraguay.
What interests me is that countries
from the former Yugoslavia cheer for each other,
Slovenes for Croatia, Croatians for Serbia,
Serbs for Bosnia & Herzegovina, Orthodox
and Catholics for Muslims, no matter what their
leaders and politicians say and do and represent.
Culture and language are thicker than water.
Up to a point. To support England
(where I was born) I would never
(except under torture : I am a coward) consent.
