The Coming War. Then Russia invaded Finland.
The three 'Baltic States'
and Eastern Poland;
Germany occupied Western Poland -
and lo! The Second World
(and the world's worst) War had arrived.
I, 100 kilometres (62 miles from
the arms and aircraft factories in Toulouse)
am also cleaning out my cellar and buying
sacks of beans. Fortunately a small stream
runs through it. A home-below-home
can be contrived.
