I fear this is my mother's ailment: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normopathy . My father does exhibit something similar that I would call "normoaggressivity."
I think you should leave your basement and your mother's normopathic cooking, and take charge of your diet: stage one of Martin's Liberation Programme. But maybe you are chained to the wall...
I'm workshy and I missed out on the shortish period of time during which getting on the dole would have been rather easy and unencumbered. You truly have been blessed by having found your permanent, undisturbed way into the King's purse decades ago!
So living with the above mentioned nuisances has become the addled compromise that I am unwillingly willing to pay. But enough of my silliness! I bought a Ryanair ticket to Scotland, so hopefully I'll be spending the entire summer roaming in the Highlands.
Are you sure that you can't get some sort of state allowance ? Even in another EU state, such as Denmark or Holland ? It was quite easy for me to get a permanent French allowance of €1,000 a month as an EU citizen, and France is notorious for its bureaucracy. I'll probably never get a French driving licence because of some bureaucratic black hole or cul-de-sac that I seem to have fallen into. You could apply for political asylum in North Korea...or you could come here and we could together produce the best-ever English translations of Rilke's Duino Elegies.
