I think a sub-version of your subversive posting should read: [...] left a changeling in Her place. Islam didn't even complete the flip as the most sacred part of the Ka'aba (which the devotees kiss) is a solid silver larger-than-life 'model' of the goddess Al'Lat's vulva. With the custodians of the shrine still known as Beni Shaybah, 'Sons of the Old Woman' - the crone in question supposedly being the Queen of Sheba.
By the time I'd read your post I'd already emailed a friend with:
"As this is the day the three magicians give up on following a star and handed over their booty to the first male baby they stumbled upon I have already taken down my Christmas decorations."
To be honest the likes of The Venerable Bede did the best subversion of nativity by flipping the midwinter feast of Modra nacht (Mothers' Night) into a feast concerned less with the mother than a male baby. But you can't have a baby without a mother. And, indeed, vice versa.
