Since it was a king (Edward I )who ordered the original expulsion of around 3,000 in 1290 – in order to avoid the repayment of loans of money (for war) that the Jews were obliged to make – why did the current and venerable Britannic Majesty not give this apology, in Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace, to the Israeli ambassador and Jewish religious leaders ?
