Since then I have not only marked pages with 'dog-ears'
but corrected typos, spelling mistakes, misquotations,
fake French... I have even written comments
in margins and title-pages -
sometimes even in books from a public library...
Yes, I know - I should (even at this late stage in my life)
curb my infantile (?) compulsion to be contrary.
