Taiwan, formerly the Chinese island of Formosa,
population 27 million,
has had fewer than 600 corona/covid cases
and only 7 deaths.
Hundreds of thousands, if not millions,
of Urechis caupo
have again been washed up on Californian beaches.
Also known as cockfish (of course)
and Fat-innkeeper worms (a translation from the Chinese ?)
these sand-burrowers are food for sea-birds,
marine mammals such as the endangered sea-otter,
and human beings, too - especially Chinese,
Japanese and Taiwanese.

Always something new, always a mind-blow, Auban. Always the heretofore unimagined and unimaginable. That's why I keep returning here. Truth here always far surpasses fiction, let alone fake news.
