Haiku after Kobayashi Issa.

Writing trash about
moonlight for the bourgeoisie
is no kind of art.

[Issa wrote 54 haikai on snails, 15 on toads, nearly 200 on frogs, about 230 on fireflies, more than 150 on mosquitoes, 90 on other kinds of  fly, over 100 on fleas, and nearly 90 on cicadas, making a total of about one thousand verses on such creatures.]

a flight of geese, three speckled fawns and red bean soup in the last 24 hours.

the geese and I were eye to eye, fawns loitered in a public space, and the soup received a reverent bow - which one of these scenes was not real?

....I guess the geese and you were not eye to eye unless you had binoculars or had turned yourself into a molecule of air at just the right place and time.
