What we generally call 'culture'

is the ethos of property
for which the earth
has been divided and destroyed.
Language makes us irrational,
agriculture makes us soulless,
and property makes us paranoid.

What you refer to as "property" here is precisely the owning which gives you so much pleasure--your home in France and the Epicurean enjoyment of your body. In my opinion, that "property" is farther down the list of causes of culture you speak of here. "Ego" and its multiple identities in one human individual are the ground, playground, and primary cause of culture.
