I keep hammering on about the futility of language.

Words are less than shit –
for at least fæces will reveal a person’s diet,
whereas words reveal
(temporarily)
only attitude.

Language is an effort. As poet you know this better than anyone. Reifying effort as futility is an absurd generalization.

Funny. And I can't help laughing. Anyway, generalizations by their very nature are always flawed logically. Yep, that's language for ya.

Maybe this generalisation is a bit better; listening more and saying less will make less shitty as a species, though the animals-even human pets, will always be better than us for making their actions worth more than their language....
