The Beautiful and Bizarre Pointlessness of Some Human Activity

After six years,
4,200 hours of shooting,
and 720,000 pictures,
wildlife photographer Alan McFadyen

of a kingfisher diving into the water
WITH NO SPLASH.

appreciation of its pointlessness,
and the best way to live
is in the pleasure
of its pointlessness.
