The normal Britlish

want to blend, or be invisible
in Britain, but like to stick out
like sore thumbs
or devotees of  a demi-god
of misrule
when they are abroad.

Mais au contraire, Auban, every Brit I have met while I am in the midst of my two month adventure in India has been absolutely brilliantly charming fascinating entertaining and delightful and remarkably tolerant and fair-minded. Like Americans they have a lot to live down but they do it eith such panache.
