No, I don't have a cellphone. I hate the things. I use a little Lumix camera (second-hand from eBay)which is very good.
There were five other attempts that were not fantastic, Michael. Thank goodness for digital cameras. In the days of slides every photo cost money and I had to wait maybe a fortnight before a film came back from processing. I'm amazed that my prehistoric tomb photos are so good (www.irishmegaliths.org.uk) when so often I allowed myself just one or two shots.
More of my local shots (quite good photos) on http://cailutz.tumblr.com
France is full of such quiet old villages and towns. In this part of SW France there is a beautiful medieval town or village (not tarted-up, as in England) every 10 miles or so.

That is a fantastic photo. Did you take it with your phone?

I love your photos. A small village with stone buildings is so different than anything I am accustomed to seeing. The town looks ancient and peaceful.
