It's not so much The Sleep of Reason
that produces monsters, but Belief
which believes itself to be
(and through conquest, massacre, education
and genocide, seeks to ensure that it is)
Universal. Thus terrible wars are fought,
and terrible destruction wrought,
in the name of Human Rights -
and Nihilism then replaces
extirpated Human Rites.
