The man on this Albanian stamp

was the great proponent of mind/body separation,
a sub-Christian dualism (endorsed by the Catholic church)
which has led to the continuing
torture of, and contempt for, "lesser" animals
("without souls") - and not only in France.
Dogs were nailed alive onto doors
"to prove that they had no feelings".

The 'scientists' who performed these 'experiments'
were blind and deaf to suffering - as are millions
in the world today.
