When might we start to realise

that the Second World War
might not have been worth winning ?
(Especially since, although knowing about the extermination camps, 
 the Allies made no effort whatsoever to destroy the railway-lines that they knew led to them.) 
And that probably
the 'wrong side' won
not just Lepanto and Waterloo
but also
World War One ?
