UNDERSTANDING ART

We are all artistic, for life is art.

The capitalist system of "divide and rule and stupefy" has
taken art (=celebration of life) away from everyone, and offered us work and
labour instead.

In the arts of the visual, which are bizarrely much more highly
valued than, for example, ceramics or serious music, a few over-achieving,
competitive, driven, or monomaniac people are allowed to be "artists" by virtue
of the market, which of course is completely capricious. The rest get on with
working for the system which exists for itself and not for its members.

A few of us make art as a 'hobby' or 'pastime', and some of us can buy what 'artists'
create: the poorer buy 'work' by unknowns; the rich inflate the market for the
'successful' by investing in their output.

Seen another way, though, art is just another kind of mind-shit.
