Last year at a Christmas drink, I was asked what my role in life was. I insisted that it was keeping my bed warm. It was not an acceptable answer in their mental multi-choice questionnaire.
Amazing phrase "role in life". Shakespeare has a hell of a lot to answer for in equating living with theatrics.
I hope that you are Fulfilling your Manifest Destiny by keeping your bed warm. I, a lower class of person, depend on the degenerate if not debauching assistance of an electric blanket.

"Whenever I am impertinently asked what I do, I reply 'I endure myself, from morning to night'" - EM Cioran (somewhat paraphrased)
Brilliant! Could there be a better response ?
