"Drugs in contemporary America

"are like prostitutes in Victorian Europe:
Life could not go on without them,
everyone depends on them one way or another,
but no one ever thanks them.
They don’t fit in with the global lie we tell about this life."

"I lived the first 37 years of my life in perpetual
terror and self-loathing.
I used to walk around Berkeley whispering to myself,
There is nothing in my heart but fear.”

- John Dolan.

I wish to acknowledge my debt to Duloxetine,
which I found by researching through Google,
and even in the wonderful Vaults of Erowid,
and which I simply told my doctor to prescribe me.
Its secret is
that it is one of the few anti-depressants to contain
a dopamine re-uptake inhibitor.

But read this alternative view

'I believe depression is a message from a part of your being, telling you [or yelling at you that] something in your life isn’t right.'

"Horses for courses..."

On Anarchism

We may require authority
of some kind, temporal
or moral - but we need
not to believe in it -
indeed we should never cease
to despise it.

A Conversation

She said to me:
You are very angry.
I said to her:
I am very happy
despite my shame at being human.
And I think it is better to be angry
and eristic
than smug or (worse still)
optimistic.

Cattle, breeders

The big problem with the 'Free' Press

is that it thrives on sensation
(and is thus more libertine than free)
and has never been free from the corrosive
influence of the rich and powerful,
abandoning public information
and intelligent discourse
to despised and underfunded public radio.

Once upon a time

I was a fairly clueless youth,
"a difficult teenager, with no ambition,
no pride", not even
interested in girls,
who ran away from school
and even university.
I hated stress
(which is what our culture thrives on).
I defied
the mediæval paradigm
- yes, really -
and now I am happy
to be accused of
living "the life of Reilly".

At the tired and cash-raped end

of art history,
good art is a filthy teddy-bear
tied to the front
of a refuse truck,

or underarm hair.

But the best art
(beyond the Pale)
is not for sale.

Strangling

is a gift.
I just love this guy!

Thank you, Karl.

The English "Public School" Ethos

It's not the boys that matter
but the school.

English 'Public Schools'  (largely unisexual) are private, and not so much institutes of learning as means of advancement in a corrupt education system.

Arse-penetration

is for straights
not for sense-respecting,
sensuality-exploring homos.

Men taking women from behind
avoids the risk of impregnation
or the stickiness of menstrual blood
- or simply is another means to make them suffer,
since women don't have a prostate
to be thus massaged.

Thinking, feeling man-appreciating
homos do not stoop to this
but hug and kiss and celebrate each other
and each other's hairy places
without controlling pressure,
and love to watch the
beautiful, long-lasting pleasure
on each other's faces.

............

Unfortunately, homos have 'got their wires crossed' by butch-gay American propaganda
and think that 'good sex' requires penetration.
They are just assholes.

A little love-bite

The loaf I baked
is so delicious
that I named it
after you.

Merely blowing oneself up

is for impotent and childish cretins.
It's so vieux-jeu, old hat, passé.
In the future there will surely be
heroic infectors who will
'sacrifice themselves'
to spread a splendid,
subtle and unconquerable plague
among our vile, destructive species.

Do I suffer from a thinking/writing disorder ?

There is no such thing as reality,
because our minds turn everything into little narratives,
false sequence, sequentiality.
But events and feelings are discrete, like quanta,
and our memories are broken aspects of our artificiality.

My true-loves and I

do not believe in jealousy -
for jealousy is very much
a matter of belief -
in ownership and property.

Today's Big News :

*Astérix* supports
Scottish Independence.
Alba's future is assured.

A word to the lonely

If solitude is not
one of your best friends
you are not very good
at making friends.

Dog-song

As you know
dogs say hello
by sniffing well
between, below,
to find out how they get along.
Sniffing is refined dog-song.

CHANSON DES CULS DE CHIENS

d'après mon ami-bonobo

Connaissez vous la manière
dont se disent bonjour le chiens
depuis les temps anciens ?
Ils se sentent le derrière
pour savoir si tout va bien.

Bonjour! salut!
Je sens ton cul.
Et ça va bien.
Tu sens le mien.
C'est le va et vient.
en champs et rue
On se connaît bien.
sans peur de rien.
Au revoir - salut !
t'as un tres beau cul.
Et tout va bien.
parmi les chiens.

The Work-Ethic

The very existence
of an ever-booming
Entertainment Industry
suggests that we were born
to amuse one another:
Homo ludens, not laborans.

Unfortunately,
because we like to
deform each other's brains,
there is too little entertainment
and far too much industry.

Love is

soup dream.
Life is
dream soup.

Monday 21 October 2013

Schopenhauer wrote to a dying friend:

'You are ceasing to be
what you never should have been
or become'.

But the desire for death
is locked in combat
with the fear of mortal pain.

Sunday 20 October 2013

Both zero and infinity

are immeasurable
and - to my very little consciousness -
identical.

The absurdity

of sexual reproduction
rivals the absurdity
of civilisation.
But, when you think about it,
any kind of reproduction
is absurd.

How I sympathise with Nietzsche

when he wrote:
"It is hard enough for me to remember my opinions
let alone my reasons for having them."

Perhaps sympathy
is just a little
more than an extension of
self-pity...

The amazing thing about humans

is that just a tiny, tiny few
can realise that they are one of
their planet's small catastrophes.

No title possible.

Talking to people

is often like watching
Underground trains
disappear into tunnels.

The best fathers are childless.

Bringing misery into the world
in the name of hope and the future,
parents revisit their childhood
by proxy - which is why
our emotional development
stopped thousands of years ago.

Lieberman on Evolution

"We didn't evolve to be healthy,
but instead we were selected to have as many offspring as possible
under diverse, challenging conditions.
As a consequence, we never evolved to make rational choices about
what to eat or how to exercise in conditions of abundance and comfort.
What's more, interactions between the bodies we inherited,
the environments we create, and the decisions we sometimes make
have set in motion an insidious feedback loop:

We get sick from chronic diseases by doing what we evolved to do
but under conditions for which our bodies are poorly adapted,
and we then pass on those same conditions to our children,
who also then get sick."

Since 'Western Values'

are anything but
universal,
why should
'good taste'
not be tribal ?

The evil of International Sport

is its hysterical,
incorrigible nationalism.

Tuesday 15 October 2013

'Islamic Extremists'

and fissionaries
will never wreak
as much havoc,
harm and destruction
as Christian missionaries.

It's only now I realise

that I did the best thing
(without knowing it)
in the decade of the 1960s
(as well as that of the 1970s)
by ignoring it.

And now the Badgers*

For thousands of years
we have been killing native
European animals in order to protect
and favour mutants of ruminants
from Central Asia
and the Indian sub-continent.
This is our 'covenant
with Nature'. And we imagine
that, as beings,
we are intelligent and competent...

*This refers to the current botched badger-cull
in selected parts of England, to see if
eliminating badgers will also eliminate
tuberculosis in cattle.

Cannabis

can bring you inside the lighthouse
which you are otherwise
always outside, buffeting.

Saturday 12 October 2013

Meat on a plate.

Is life itself the tragedy
- or just the Y-chromosome
- or just the human mutation ?

The only rational reason

why the increasing
millions of the rich
would want bathrooms
everywhere
is because they're all
incontinent
and stink of sweated chemicals.

An Accidental Memorial to the Eternal Dog :

a paw-print
on a Tudor brick
in the cellar of
a palace in Hackney.

Why most of the human species is addicted to sugar.

Slaves from Africa
produced the sugar to feed
(or, rather, seriously malnourish)
wage-slaves
in the unbounded
Satanic mills of England -
which was like
pumping them with Speed.
Thus was capitalism founded.

If only !

"Poets with progress
make no peace or pact.
The act of poetry
is a rebel act."

- Michael Hartnett

Chimpanzees and humans

could mate successfully,
and probably have done...
which is interesting considering
the use of shaven young female
orang-utans for repeated rape
as primate prostitutes in Indonesia...

and considering that each group
of chimpanzees has its own religious
practice of eating a particular
unpleasant food, a food-fashion
to distinguish it from other groups.

Thus we know the original and principal
purpose of religion.

But we, it seems, are the only
pædophile mammals,
who do not (when young) give off
or do not respond to (as adults)
unpleasant pheromones to deter
us from biologically inappropriate behaviour.

Tuesday 8 October 2013

The biggest sell-out by the intelligentsia

since World War 2 was the acceptance
of pop, rock and other
purely-commercial - mostly fake -
music
as something not only worth
talking about,
but worth listening to.
And that is just the tip of the
iceberg of the corruption
caused by commerce conducted
for its own sake.

Each "Society"

is a gang
of gangs,
and the chief gang
is not the government.

Unlike Albania

Northern Ireland
(a statelet of yawning social,
cultural and horticultural voids)
is one of Europe's
less interesting
dangling hæmorrhoids.

The remarkable characters

of dogs are always in great peril
because their blossoming depends
almost entirely on their owners.
Unless they're feral.

Sunday 6 October 2013

For the older person

the best part of orgasm
is the realisation that
there is actually going
to be an orgasm.
This is known as
meta-orgasm
and can last a long time.

I wonder was that Commie basterd George Carlin aiming at me ?

"People who say they don't care what people think
are usually desperate to have people think
they don't care what people think."
And I don't care how much I stink...

A Deviant Double-Burial, County Roscommon

Deviants before they died
and dangerous beyond the grave
their departing spirits and/or maledictions blocked
by rock before they were consigned
to shit-dark squelch by
The Controllers on an isle
which had supposedly been Christian
for two hundred years.  Father and son,
perhaps, or unwanted Itinerants,
blasphemers, maybe, or incestuous male lovers,
believers in a Golden Dawn,
or the Jamaican Jehovah's Witnesses of their time
whose spirits, words and practices
could not be allowed to spawn.

Just one of many reasons

why dogs are so much
wiser than humans
is their capacity
to tell the difference
between sensuality
and sexuality,
between sense and sex.

Brain-dead

Doctors
have to keep pretending
to think that,
no matter what the circumstances,
more life is worth having,
if you're human,
that any life (mainly human life)
is worth saving,
though so much of human life
is pointless and unattractive packaging.

For years I have been trying

to find my Utmost
in order to try it.
But I think it was cruelly removed
when I was six, together with
my tonsils and my adenoids.

I hadn't even heard of him before today !

A voice in the wilderness of poetry in English.

Sincerity is the new Irony

Example:
Séamus Heaney sincerely
plodding his wearisome way
through his ironic translation
of Beowulf, on the radio today.

Today is British National Poetry Day

and it was no surprise to hear
Charles, His Royal Highness,
Prince of Wales,
Duke of Cornwall, etcera.
read a Dylan Thomas poem
as if spoken from an expensive jar
of Cornish curds
without the slightest lilt
or sense of rhythm
or sensual affection
for the dancing words.

REGRETTING CATARACT SURGERY

Experiments have shown

that rats laugh
especially when tickled.

But canines
(especially lone wolves)
are capable
of making jokes.

Reason is far more cruel than passion.

Because the CapSys
alienates and separates people
through greed for goods
& gadgets, and through
early emotional damage,
it suits born loners
and outsiders like myself.

On Tyrants great and small

Often
those who appear to deserve
the most blame
once needed -
and may still need - the most help.

Hope

is merely desire
that shit will one day smell
'better' than a byre.
A no-hoper
is someone who is able
to enjoy the perfumes of the stable.
