"Nothing in life is to be feared,

only understood," wrote Marie Curie.
But the most fearsome things are those
we understand too well - such as governments
which are a thousand times more scary
and certainly more disingenuous and devious than the few
terrorists who make them ever more powerful.

But governments are made up of people, so therefore...

Governments are not JUST made up of people. People are subordinate to systems - hierarchies, structures, protocols. But of course people created the systems.
