Male baboons beat up and humiliate
females and non-alpha males,
kill babies and declare war
on other bands of baboons.
They could be described as both
'successful' and 'sociopathic'.
If they were as 'intelligent' as us
the world might be much the same
as it is now: devastated.
So - should 'intelligence' be thought of
as 'deadliness' - or something
to be celebrated ?

Dominance carries benefits for both sexes in terms of survival and reproduction.
And females enjoy dominance over other females and non-alpha males.
We are just aping apes.
Intelligence is selectively bred into us through survival. Violence and greed are also marks of 'success'.
