Goodness gracious! Two people were so bored on the 28th December that they not only read my blog, but wrote comments! This is your first ever...and very nice to hear from you.
Did you ever hear anything more about M.? (He was not 'in a good place' in either sense when I last heard from him a quarter-century ago.)
