I never quite know what porn is/was meant to be the measure of. In the age of analogue print media, up to the 1990s, it was the measure of engineered male fantasy. E.g. the more the UK tabloid press put near-naked women on page three the more sex was portrayed as some desperately cheap party located where few knew how to find it. With the internet, users of the internet can measure their level of boredom with the news or other websites, by how soon they think about looking up the porn website that they trust is internet virus free. I'd go with the boredom index idea; any freedom that has no focus will always touch on boredom, eventually.
