It depends on what you mean by ‘examined’.
Surely an individual cannot “get far”
in his or her exploration
of the cul-de-sac — or cinema — of life
without some self-examination…

I like the idea of a life 'examined for its limits' with the intent of accepting those limits. Examining for conditionality.
