A rarely-asked question.

Just how much difference
do 'free elections' make
when politicians, press, police
and banks are all corrupt
when not actually criminal ?

The only thing that matters
is that governments can fall,
and that elections must be called.
Beyond that, it's Tweedledum
and Tweedledee - and a strong
and incorruptible judiciary.

But Hitler came to power quite legally.
