as Resistance to totalitarian English –
except that it is a naively artificial language
with little scope for nuance or subtlety
and even less for poetry,
born dead and not much more flexible
than Church Latin,
dreamt up by a nineteenth-century
inevitably Indo-European Pole,
with something of the totalitarian about him.
