I heard this phrase in the 2016 TV adaptation of John Le Carré's The Night Manager. I don't think I read it in the book...but... I have read the book and watched the adaptation twice, and each time I am completely engaged. Such is my fleeting memory!
That's the same number of times that I have watched Stalker, Withnail & I, Locke ,The Two-legged Horseand Paddington.
