'People are always saying'

that there are two kinds of people:
the These and the Those.

My contribution to the
painfully long list of such
simplistic contrasts is that

(apart from the primary distinction
between me and everyone else)
the most important division
is between those few
who have a sense of fairness
and 'existential balance',
and those multitudes who do not.
