Verbal Plethora ?

I am wondering
what is the difference between
an Epilogue,
a Postscript,
and an Afterword ?

  1. [from a keen reader]

An Epilogue is a concluding section of a book that provides further details about the characters or story events, often tying up loose ends.

An Afterword is a concluding section that offers the author's or another contributor's perspective on the book, explaining its creation or context.

A Postscript is a short addendum or note added at the end of a letter (or email).

But I'm sure I have seen Postscripts at the end of books...
