I don't think you will hike there! It is South-western Tasmania, which I 'checked out' on Google Earth while reading Johanna Sinisalo's Birdbrain in English translation, an account of trekking with an inevitably bossy boyfriend in Aotearoa (Southland), Southern Australia and Tasmania. It is interleaved with quotations from Conrad's Heart of Darkness. It is not yet translated into German, but her Troll: Eine Liebesgeschichte is available on abebooks.de
