  1. Little and local museums are, of course, an exception to this generalisation, notably the wonderful Musée Fenaille in Rodez,
    housiing, on its top floor the world's only collection of Neolithic occitanian statues-menhirs, all rescued from the kind of destructive weathering that is allowed to rampage in Ireland.
