Fairy tales conflicted me,

because I liked the pictures of the dwarves and ogres,
not the entitled, goody-goody princes and princesses.

So I have a certain aversion to blue eyes and blond hair,
preferring swarthiness; and I have had no ambition
beyond a vague desire to practise light sedition.
