If a plastic Bag for Life lasts less than a month in the countries of the rich before being discarded (because it doesn't look new or has a stain or two) we can deduce that - by the rich - climate change is disregarded.
The rich (poor things) can be hit by inflation. A newspaper report today on wine from Burgundy informs us that five years ago the average price of Domaine Leroy Musigny was £4,033 ($5,500) a bottle; by June this year it was going for £24,178 (over $33,000) a bottle.
But I, not so very far from the bottom of the Rich European Heap, drink wine at around 3-4 euros ($4-5) a bottle. 4 dollars a day would be thought considerable wealth by the poor beyond Europe's increasingly-monitored shores.
