Many members of our species gone agley

regard others, and every living thing, as prey.
Of course, they're right -
merely because they think that way.
Which is why, for most of my life,
I've hidden in plain sight,
hoping that One Glorious Day
they'll simply evaporate
or, at any rate,
poison or explode themselves away.
