Unfortunately, badgers are hunted almost to extinction in France, quite legally. The hunting laws and practices in France are utterly scandalous.
Ast*rix likes chasing anything on four legs, but is now desisting from hurtling after the local (sometimes provocative) cats. Nevertheless, he has reduced the cat-shit problem which was almost serious when I first arrived here.
