Very Worrying

for my generation :
Waiting for Godot
is now on syllabuses
(and presumably much-loathed)
for teenage education.

  1. It's a punch in your face play. Overstated, an effete allegory, and well, neither drama, nor poetry. Sorry Becket was Irish, Auban.

  2. Mr Beckett's plays are certainly over-rated, but WfG is a satire, a black farce, possibly 'sociopathic'. His novels are quite another kettle of piranhas.
