I keep hammering on about the futility of language.

Words are less than shit –
for at least fæces will reveal a person’s diet,
whereas words reveal
(temporarily)
only attitude.

  1. Language is an effort. As poet you know this better than anyone. Reifying effort as futility is an absurd generalization.

  4. Maybe this generalisation is a bit better; listening more and saying less will make less shitty as a species, though the animals-even human pets, will always be better than us for making their actions worth more than their language....
