Since I pride myself on a never ending student of this beautiful language, I read your posts with dictionary. I checked the word venal and it's usage in a sentence.

Yes, sorry about the Red, Jindra. I felt I needed a facelift on my blog (which has looked the same for nearly 7 years), and this was the only design that didn't need a lot of re-arrangement. I'll look for another colour and/or design...
