The more worthless and shallow

I consider it to be,
the more tolerable
(even pleasant)
life seems to me.

In prison, we call this 'Gate Fever.' The feeling you get at the end of your sentence, when the annoying rules and petty BS eomes irrelevant even farcical, and you no longer care about people's feelings about you, because you'll hopefully never see them again. Prison or Life, it's all the same.

  2. Yes, even nearing the end of my short sentence in Belfast's famous Victorian prison (now an attraction with guided tours) I felt distinctly jolly.

[Nice to hear from you, Dave. I e-mailed you a while ago but the message bounced back. Maybe you can contact me ?]
