We antinatalists

should cheer ourselves up
by reminding ourselves every morning
that there are more bacteria in a teaspoonful of soil
- and more bacteria on and in each one of us
than there are humans upon the planet.

  1. Indeed, it is pleasant to know that bacteria don't generally go around murdering each other due to their metaphysical beliefs or exploit each other economically.

  2. Actually, I've always likened yeast in a vat of wine to humanity. The yeast consume their resources (sugar) and excrete toxic waste (alcohol) until the waste kills them all. That's fermentation for you, and life on earth, in a nutshell (or bottle).
