The Ultimate Hypocrite :

God -
from whose 'rotting miasma'
(as Rosenberg expressed it)
we take and make
our narcissistic image.

Anyone can project the combined ideas of omniscience, omnipresence and omnipotence, and many in history have done so, it has been the binding that held many an empire together. But for me those three absolutes simply do not fit together. Knowing everything means not controlling everything, being everywhere surely means being there but not controlling or knowing everything. Only absolute control means having to be everywhere all the time and knowing everything, and the chaos humans cause means that that seems impossible. We must know how untidy we are and own our own chaos. God (in so far as s/he believes in himself so to exist) is not the hypocrite here- we are for disowning how we disorder the planet.
