But it is perfectly obvious even to the partially-sighted,
mentally-challenged (as well as misunderstood
or oppressed minorities such as German-speaking Jews
in a nationalist Czech city)
that Kafka's accounts are accurate if fragmentary versions
of the underlying reality, not just of our culture,
but of civilisation itself.
